Able to give a touch of personality to any type of environment, Porro chairs, with their rigorous yet delicate shapes, are the must-have for every home, thanks to their ability to adapt to both urban and holiday contexts. Discover our proposals to best match the three Porro chairs that we have selected for you.
Mix&Match: Porro chairs
With ninety-five years of experience in the world of contemporary design furniture, Porro continues to propose its ideal of beauty with a unique point of view on the design of the living space. Porro chairs are characterized by a purity of form, attention to detail and extreme care in manufacturing, thanks to the company’s philosophy that aesthetics is nothing if not based on a foundation of extraordinary quality.
Bringing new comfort and expressive possibilities to the dining room, Piero Lissoni designs the Frank chair, composed of a harmonious unicum of 3 distinct elements, the shell-shaped backrest, the metal legs that gain momentum, and the upholstered seat for superior comfort.
Geometric lines and vintage-inspired design are the key elements of the Romby chair designed by GamFratesi. An abstract charm that manages to convey, in its essentiality, a new aesthetic of living.
The Voyage chair takes inspiration from an aesthetic of the 50s with precise lines designed to give shape to an atmosphere of vacation and conviviality. GamFratesi creates a leather seat that fits like a glove on the turned wooden structure.
Materials, shapes and colors are the protagonists of our Porro Chairs compositions: three solutions that are born with the aim of showing you the Italian design in its entirety. Here for you are three possible customizations that tell three different styles of dining rooms. But the variety is infinite and that’s why Esperiri is here to help you create the right Mix&Match according to your taste.
FRANK Porro chair
Designed by Piero Lissoni, the Frank chair was created with the intent to give new expressive possibilities to the dining room, adding greater sobriety and elegance.
Its design unites in a harmonious unicum three distinct elements, the soft and enveloping shell-shaped backrest, the solid and sturdy metal legs that acquire momentum thanks to the circular and variable section, and the upholstered seat sprung with thick elastic straps, for superior comfort. These Scandinavian-inspired features bring the Frank chair to a total price positioning of 1,160 euros.
To further illustrate this elegant interplay between shapes and materials, we decided to match the Frank chair with the Mexique table designed by Charlotte Perriand for Cassina and the 45°/vetrina showcase design by Ron Gilad for Molteni&C. And for a timeless look, we selected the Splugen Brau lamp by the Castiglioni brothers designed in 1961 for Flos.
Diving into an atmosphere somewhere between the 1960s and our memories of metaphysical art, we find ourselves in a dining room that is essential and sophisticated in its forms. The KL boiserie wall by Emmemobili reaffirm the contemporary reinterpretation of the past and help create depth and volume in the room. The elegance of the Frank chair blends perfectly with an understated environment with a modern twist.
ROMBY Porro chair
Geometric and elegant, the Romby chair is an upholstered chair with a conical swivel base. GamFratesi’s project began with the translation of a very simple geometric figure, the rhombus, from a two-dimensional drawing to something three-dimensional like a piece of furniture.
The Romby chair is made up of two different elements in balance with each other: the swivel seat, soft, compact and covered in fabric or leather, and the truncated cone base in solid ash wood, natural or stained black, whose flared shape is made into segments in an exercise of craftsmanship. The total price is 1,080 euros.
The use of essential geometric shapes is repeated several times in the selection of furniture for this second composition. To enhance the conical shape, we chose the Diabolo lamp designed by Achille Castiglioni for Flos and to contrast the curved forms, the iconic Quaderna table by Superstudio for Zanotta. Last, to light up the room with color, we chose the iconic Nuage bookcase designed by Charlotte Perriand for Cassina.
A contemporary and young environment, where geometries and colors reveal the influences of bauhaus and radical architecture. Characterized by a parquet floor and walls in gray tones with a terrazzo effect, the space comes alive thanks to the eccentric personality of the furnishings. The Romby chair fits perfectly in this room that can be lived both as a dining room and a study room.
VOYAGE Porro chair
With its precise lines inspired by the 50s, the Voyage chair is an object designed to give shape to a house-refuge, where you can leave the world behind and travel with your mind: it recalls an idea of conviviality and a certain vacation atmosphere, but its impeccable style also makes it perfect in an urban context.
The Voyage chair amplifies the imagery created by Gamfratesi with the Traveller daybed. The matching materials become softer, and are now turned wood in natural maple, stained black or stained brown on the back and sides, and leather, which fits the structure perfectly. The total price for this elegantly shaped chair reaches 910 euros.
To enhance the quality of the materials used in its production, we have selected the sculptural table Asterias designed by Patricia Urquiola for Molteni&C, the bookcase Ren designed by Neri & Hu for Poltrona Frau and to warm the environment we have chosen the lamp Chasen also designed by Patricia Urquiola for Flos.
The last dining room is characterized by an understated and luxurious style. The walls give a scratchy, textured feel that contrasts with the warm, enveloping qualities of wood, used on both the floor and the furniture. The final image is of a sophisticated environment capable of welcoming guests for a relaxing evening in the company of a fine glass of Italian wine.
