9 Welfare Road, Hong Kong

The residential interior design project in Hong Kong features Club Marinella, a seafront villa designed and completed by Steve Leung Interior Design for K. Wah International Holdings Limited along with Sino Land and Nan Fung Group. Its location along Hong Kong Island’s Sham Wan Bay on 9 Welfare Road near the Aberdeen Marina Club and Aberdeen Boat Club is ideal for luxury living. The Aberdeen Marina was even mentioned in the best-selling book Crazy Rich Asians. The aforementioned trio of property developers decided to bring the atmosphere of the laid-back Italian lifestyle to Hong Kong’s Aberdeen Island and Ap Lei Chau district. 

The remarkable 3-story villa is filled with exquisite materials, relaxed colors, and smooth textures in order to highlight the ease and refined elegance of Italian design. The furniture, fixtures, and accessories are a mingling assortment of glass, marble, and rosewood accented by floor-to-ceiling windows boasting sea views. The traditional and sophisticated ambience of the Marinella Ocean Collection will surely provide the client with a unique lifestyle reflecting Italian design.

Italian Luxury Brand – Giorgetti

This Made in Italy brand, which has been perfecting the “Giorgetti style” for 120 years, was chosen by the client for their high-end project at Club Marinella’s 9 Welfare Road. Luigi Giorgetti founded a cabinetmaking company with 8 initial employees in 1898. The workers grew in number quickly as did the product range. The company was soon known internationally for their finely carved furniture.

Giorgetti celebrates the art of furniture with artisanship, tradition, as well as technology. What begins as precious, solid wood is transformed into smooth, elegant shapes through extensive research and modern, eco-friendly technology with respect, passion, and commitment to the company and the materials. The ideas and manufacturing are also in Italy, keeping the unique quality and consistency that is so characteristic to Giorgetti.

The brand has worked with architects such as Krier, Massimo Scolari, and most recently Chi Wing Lo, who is now an integral component of each step in the design process ensuring the quality of the products. Giorgetti also collaborates with Steve Leung Design Group, like with Club Marinella and The Hampton.
