Volage Ex-S Sofa Cassina Features
Designed by Philippe Starck, the Cassina Volage Ex-S is a superb piece of furnishing that heightens the atmosphere of its location with relative ease. The beautiful imagery of this sofa system comes from its excellent components and precision assembly. Its base consists of extruded aluminium crossbars with die-cast aluminium feet and slides in thermoplastic material. The seat's structure comes in a steel-rod frame with elastic belts. These components are then padded with polyurethane foam in different densities and polyester padding with resin and light velvet. The side tables have a metal structure padded with polyurethane foam as well.
Volage Ex-S Sofa Materials
The Volage Ex-S Sofa of Cassina takes the visual cues of the original Volage and gives them a different twist. The cushioning of this sofa system's seat now has an extra layer, giving it a more comfortable feel. The quilted details are also relocated to the backrest instead of the seat cushion. Aside from these details, the Volage Ex-S of Cassina carries the finishing touches as the original version. Another variant of the Ex-S has slim armrests with supplemental round pillows at each side, this version measures 93x167x74 cm. A version with side tables is also available. This variant can have a side table on either side or both sides as well which measures 93x157x74 cm. Sectional sofas and poufs are included in the Ex-S line as well.
