Designer: Patricia Urquiola
Manufacturer: Moroso
Starting from: € 1.570,00
The most prominent feature of the Moroso Gogan Coffee Table is undoubtedly its tabletop. Available in two versions, this aspect of the Moroso Gogan is the component that resembles stones. Patricia Urquiola drew her ideas from river stones in Japan that were naturally shaped over time. The legs for this beautiful item come in two variants as well, their size dependent on the measurements of your chosen tabletop. The combination of these two elements represents perfect balance. By understanding gravity, the table pieces attain symmetry, enabling the seemingly heavy top to attain weightlessness.
In line with its natural theme, the Gogan Coffee Table of Moroso disregards bright shades of colour and leans toward a more neutral palette. The ash wood legs for the table are varnished in either Caffe oak or Dark Brown beech. The tabletop offers more options. You can select between three marble tops; the Calacatta, Carrara, or the Marquina. There are also four glass top colours, namely sand, Agata grey, blush, or black. Any of these materials will ultimately produce the same result: you will create a coffee table that is an elegant representation of natural balance.
The Gogan comes from a series with two other items in its namesake revolving around the same theme. This set is a beautiful collection, but you may opt to use the individual pieces in any interior setting that you may have. The coffee tabletop defines the size of the table. The circular tables measure 85x86x33 cm with an ⌀80 cm glass top, or at 105x103x27 cm with a ⌀100 cm glass top. The other shapes come in two sizes as well: 101x108x27 cm or 127x99x33 cm. These options are available for every tabletop choice.
