Aeo Cassina Description
The Cassina Aeo armchair is an armchair with an unorthodox construct. A "kit" armchair, in essence, the Aeo was initially available for self-assembly because of the unconventional materials used for its construct. This meant that you can disassemble the product for storage or cleaning. The unique make-up of materials also gave the Aeo Armchair several alternatives when it comes to customization options due to its distinct assembly methods and components. This item was the last product to come from the Archizoom group and was designed by Paolo Deganello in 1973.
Aeo Armchair Cassina Features
The unique composition of parts for the Cassina Aeo makes it a truly desirable product. The backrest of this armchair is built differently as the only support for the back lies in the upholstery material fitted to the metal structure. This material also serves as the armchair's armrests. The seat itself consists of a single upholstered cushion and a canvas with metal cushion support. These components are supported by the grey plastic base. The entire backrest and seat components can be easily connected and removed from the base, making it storable.
Aeo Armchair Materials
Cassina's Aeo Armchair has several options for the backrest and armrest in either leather or fabric. The seat cushion has its own set of upholstery options as well. Both of the fabric components are removable for easy cleaning. The tubular metal seat and backrest frames are steel and lacquered beige. For a truly custom finish, you may opt to purchase your own material to make your version of the back and armrest as well as the upholstery of the seat cushion for the Cassina Aeo.
